HOW IT BEGAN…

4680Q began with the vision and passion of its founder, Rick Rose—a lifelong supporter of Niagara’s music, arts, and creative community. Rick believed local voices deserved a platform that was modern, accessible, and powered by genuine community spirit. His dedication led him to launch 4680Q Niagara’s Online Radio, building a space where artists, performers, and storytellers could be heard.

Rick’s commitment to uplifting Niagara’s culture was recognized when he received a municipal cultural grant from the City of Niagara Falls. This support helped bring 4680Q to life and ensured the station could champion local talent while giving the community a station it could proudly call its own.

Though Rick is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in every show, every story, and every connection made through 4680Q.

In honour of his lifelong dedication to Niagara’s creative community, the Rick Rose Music Foundation continues his mission by supporting local musicians, youth programs, and emerging artists. The foundation keeps Rick’s passion alive by providing opportunities that help nurture talent and strengthen arts culture across the region.
